Ever since Salman Khan gave Karan Johar's "Shuddhi" a go-ahead, there has been tremendous buzz around the film's cast.
According to a Bollywood Life report, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonakshi Sinha are being considered, but nothing has been finalised yet.
"Salman has his own equation with all his leading ladies. Sonakshi was launched by him, while Jacqueline's career was resurrected by him. Shuddhi is a big film and it's natural for actresses to vie for the role. We have been in talks with a few names but no one has been finalised yet," a source told the web portal.
Jacqueline, according to a Deccan Chronicle source, was spotted discussing the project with Karan Johar.
However, these are not the only two names that have been linked to the film. After Hrithik Roshan pulled out of the film owing to health and personal issues, and Kareena Kapoor Khan too walked out of the project.
"Karan Malhotra (director) and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post-Shuddhi. For now I cannot allow a vision like Shuddhi to stagnate any further. I had the finest experience an actor can have working with Karan Malhotra in 'Agneepath'," PTI quoted the "Bang Bang" star as saying.
Interestingly, after Deepika Padukone's fun interaction with Salman on the Filmfare stage created ripples, it was reported that the two were bonding like professionals in order to create an equation before the film rolls.
These can be counted as mere speculations as there has been no official announcement from the makers yet.
"There was no formal announcement on our part, about the cast, it was all media speculation. I'm just happy and proud to have Salman. This is our first major collaboration after his special appearance in my debut film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai," Johar told Mumbai Mirror last year.
