The first look promo of Salman Khan's upcoming film "Kick" will be released at the Gaiety Galaxy cinema hall, on 15 June.
It may be recalled that Khan had unveiled the trailer of his last release "Jai Ho" at Chandan cinema amidst fans. This time again, the actor seems to be following suit by planning to release the first look promo of "Kick" at a single screen theatre.
Last week, the first sleek teaser poster of "Kick" was released and received positive response from fans, who have been eagerly waiting to see the first look promo of the film, which is deemed as an action entertainer.
"Kick" is reportedly the remake of Telugu film of the same name. The Telugu version, which hit screens in 2009, was a big hit at the box office. It remains to be seen if the Hindi version, starring Khan, will appeal to the audience.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is making his directorial debut with "Kick." He is also producing the film and is leaving no stone unturned to make it a big budget entertainer with high production values. Nadiadwala has reportedly roped in a team of specialists from other countries to take care of the post production work.
Most of the film's portions have been completed with only a song left to be shot. The film will be hitting theatres for Eid, which is considered to be a lucky period for the actor. His films, which have hit the screens during Eid, have all turned to be big hits. Last year, Khan did not have any release and after over a year, "Jai Ho" hit screens in January 2014 amid huge expectations.
The film received mixed reviews and did decent business at the box office, though it failed to beat the collections of big releases like Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express", Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3" and Hrithik Roshan's "Krrish 3."
In just six months, Khan's second film of 2014 is gearing up for release on 25 July. It will be interesting to see if "Kick" will be able to live up to the audience's expectations.
The action entertainer will have Jacqueline Fernandez as female lead role, while the other cast members include Randeep Hooda, Mithun Chakraborty, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rocky Verma. Popular novelist Chetan Bhagat has handled the screenplay and the dialogues have been written by Rajat Aroraa.
The film, to be distributed by UTV Motion Pictures, will have music by Himesh Reshammiya and lyrics by Mayur Puri.
