Bollywood's alleged rivals Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen romancing Jacqueline Fernandez in their next ventures.
While Salman will share screen space with the Sri-Lankan beauty in the Hindi remake of Telugu movie "Kick", the "Barfi" star will romance her in "Roy".
Earlier it was rumoured that Salman might be paired opposite Deepika Padukone in "Kick", a film which marks the directorial debut of Sajid Nadiadwala. But later, the "Om Shanti Om" debutant was replaced by Jacqueline.
Confirming the reports of Jacqueline's pairing opposite Salman a source had earlier revealed, "Nadiadwala wanted a fresh pair. And that's why he thought of several names before zeroing in on Jacqueline and Deepika. No one knew about Jacqueline even being considered for the role, but she has managed to bag it. Nadiadwala and Salman are impressed with her work," Hindustan Times reported.
Stating that Nadiadwala waited for six months before zeroing on Jacqueline for the female lead, a source told Bollywood Hungama, "Let's not forget that Ileana D'Cruz had an integral part to play in the original Kick. Sajid Nadiadwala waited for over six months to get just the right actress who came with a blend of glamour quotient and acting chops. He couldn't have settled for anyone lesser for his directorial debut."
Giving a brief on Jacqueline's role in "Roy", the source added,"...she plays a double role in Roy and has to match up with Ranbir's superior acting skills. Even with Salman and Ranbir around, she is in these films for all the good reasons."
Although not much has been revealed about "Roy", it is rumoured that Ranbir will play the role of a thief. The film will reportedly be directed by debutant Vicky Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar.
