Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been giving his "Dabangg" co-star Sonakshi Sinha some lessons on painting.
Sonakshi, who is an admirer of Salman's painting and has same passion for the art like her mentor, is set to do a live painting at the music launch of her upcoming film "Lootera" which also stars Ranveer Singh.
"Sonakshi, like Salman, has the same hobby that is painting. She likes a lot of Salman's works of art, so much so that she calls herself a fan of his paintings. And recently, Sonakshi has been taking advice from Salman about painting live for the media," a source close to film's crew was quoted saying by Zee News.
Sonakshi plays the role of an artist in "Lootera" who gives painting lessons to Ranveer in the film.
As part of the film's promotion, the makers of "Lootera" insisted that Sonakshi should paint in the presence of the media.
Stating that Sonakshi has taken up the challenge the source said, "She seems quite prepared to put up a good performance."
Confirming the reports of the live painting event, "Lootera" director Vikramaditya Motwane said, "Sonakshi has always been fond of Salman's paintings and we are going to paint live for the media at the launch of our first song."
An official spokesperson of "Lootera" also confirmed that Sonakshi is seeking help from Salman to prepare herself for the event. "It's true that Sonakshi has been taking tips from Salman and everyone will get to see her work at the launch," the spokesperson said.
Set against the backdrop of the 1950s, "Lootera" is an upcoming Bollywood period romantic drama directed by "Udaan" fame Vikramaditya Motwane and jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl. The film is slated to release on 5 July.
