Salman Khan and Kabir Khan are currently busy with the shooting of Tubelight, and now reports suggest that the actor-director have teamed up for another upcoming movie.
It has been reported that Salman will be seen in Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Agnihotri's next production venture for which the actor has recommended Kabir's name as the director. The said project will reportedly be based on 1983 World Cup victory of the Indian Cricket team.
Apparently, Kabir has become the superstar's favourite director after the success of Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Reports said that Salman trusts Kabir as a director and hence is ready to team up with him for another upcoming movie after the shooting of "Tubelight."
"Salman has immense faith in Kabir as a filmmaker and after two blockbusters in ETT and BB, the comfort level has only grown stronger with Tubelight. And when Atul and Alvira were looking out for a director to helm their next project, Salman suggested Kabir's name. He has become like a family member to the Khans. Another director Salman has worked with that often is Sooraj Barjatya, who gave Salman his first hit Maine Pyaar Kiya. They also worked together in Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hain and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo," DNA quoted a source as saying.
The report also said that Rajkumar Santoshi was initially considered for the untitled movie, however, for some reasons, it did not happen, and now Kabir has been given the charge. If the rumours are to be believed, Salman will most likely be seen in the character of a cricket player.
