The rumour mills have gone into overdrive ever since Salman Khan and Iulia Vantur attended the Preity Zinta-Gene Goodenough reception bash together. There have been reports of the couple getting hitched sometime this year.
Putting an end to all discussions, Salman has now said he is not getting married. If he were to take the plunge, he would proudly announce it to the world and not wait for the news to leak, Mumbai Mirror reported. The superstar pointed out that he wasn't like the yesteryear stars who would hide their marital status because it would affect their fan following.
Talking about getting married, Salman said he doesn't have time and is always working. "It takes two to make a marriage — one difficult partner and the other easy-to-live-with. So, who's the difficult one? I am. I'm never home, I'm always surrounded by people, always working. If it's not a movie, it is an ad or Bigg Boss. Now there are big plans for my charity Being Human, too. Along with movies and the clothing line, we will now venture into restaurants, jewellery and the digital platform. Where is the time," he said.
Salman spoke not only about his thoughts on marriage but also about fathering a child. He has always maintained he would love to have two or three children, but then it's a big responsibility as the mother comes with the kids. "Yes, I'd like to have a child but the problem with that is with the child the mother comes along. If I can avoid the mother and have a child I wouldn't mind two or three. Tell me if there's a solution," the daily quoted him as saying.
Salman did dismiss reports of he tying the knot, but he did not shoot down the idea completely. He said he would love a marriage but it's a "big step" for him at 50.
