Bollywood actor Salman Khan will not share screen space with Anushaka Sharma or his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif in Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming Venture, contrary to earlier reports.
Rumours were abuzz that model-turned actress Anushka was finalised to play the female lead in the film. "There were reports recently that Anushka Sharma had been signed as the leading lady opposite Salman. But that rumour was denied by the actress' spokesperson," a source close to the project told DNA.
The source went on to add that Salman will be seen romancing either one of the two fresh faces of the industry - Parineeti Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz, in the upcoming venture.
"The fact is, Sooraj has gone through a list of actresses and selected Ileana and Parineeti as the final two. He is currently abroad scouting for locations for his Salman-starrer. When he returns, he will meet the two girls again and have script-reading sessions with them in Hindi, after which it will be decided which will be the lucky girl to be cast opposite Salman," the source said.
Rumours were also doing the rounds that the film will bring ex-flames Salman and Katrina back on screen.
"Kat has more or less been finalised for the film. It will be interesting to see the two ex-lovers acting opposite each other again. The makers will announce her name once the dates and other details are worked out," Mid Day had quoted a source as saying.
The untitled film would mark the reunion of Salman and Sooraj after a gap of 14 years. The duo had last collaborated for a 1999 family drama titled "Hum Saath Saath Hain".
The film, which will go on floors in October, revolves around two brothers. Salman will be seen playing the elder brother, while the lead actor for role of the younger brother is yet to be finalised.
