Katrina Kaif had reportedly asked Salman Khan to watch "Fitoor" before its release and had also arranged for a special screening of the film.
The actress arranged for a special screening of "Fitoor" at a suburban theatre for her former boyfriend, but the latter never turned up for it, according to SKJ Bollywood News.
The report said that Salman kept Katrina waiting and the "Fitoor" actress eventually had to cancel the show. "Katrina had to cancel the show that she had kept for Salman. He had promised he would see her film. She arranged a show and even invited some of her friends for the show. Salman kept telling her he was on the way. But he never came. She had to cancel the show," the report quoted a source as saying.
Earlier, it was reported that Katrina had asked the "Sultan" actor to watch "Fitoor" first and give her suggestions on if any last minute changes were required. While Salman and Katrina have always maintained a cordial relationship, their equation apparently got better after the actress reportedly broke up with Ranbir Kapoor.
Of late, Salman has been showering praise on his ex girlfriend and the superstar recently called her very hard-working and one of the strongest women he has ever known. However, if the report of Salman not attending the special screening of "Fitoor" is true, it is likely to change things between the two.
Salman has been very busy these days with the shooting of his upcoming movie "Sultan" and that can be one of the reasons he ditched Katrina's "Fitoor" screening. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, "Fitoor" also features Aditya Roy Kapur along with Katrina. The film is based on Charles Dickens' classic novel "Great Expectations".
