Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor don't share the best of rapports, and it's going to get worse next Christmas. Apparently, both their films have been scheduled to arrive on Dec. 25, 2017.
Salman will take up Rajkumar Santoshi's project after he finishes "Tubelight." He said that the comic caper looks more like a Christmas release to him, but also added that nothing has been finalised yet. Interestingly, Katrina Kaif has apparently been roped in for the film. Meanwhile, makers of Ranbir's "Dragon," the ambitious superhero film, are eyeing the same date, DNA reported.
So, now the clash is between Salman-Katrina and Ranbir. It will be an interesting box office war if and when it happens.
What do we know about these films? Here's a quick lowdown:
Salman and Katrina's (taking the reports to be true) film is Rajkumar's only straw. His last, "Phata Poster Nikhla Hero," didn't quite work wonders at the ticket window and therefore he doesn't want to take risk with his next. The actor-director duo has been meeting up regularly to fine tune the script.
Ranbir's "Dragon" falls in a different genre, but director Ayan Mukerji said it's not the kind of film people are making it out to be. "Superhero is not the right word. It is more about an adventure fantasy in modern day. I hope it will be into three instalments, if it is accepted by the audiences," Catch News quoted him as saying. From what has been reported so far, Alia Bhatt may star in it.
