Jayam Raja seems to be ready to make his Bollywood debut with the remake of his hit movie "Thani Oruvan". The icing on the cake is the director is likely to join hands with none other than Salman Khan.
The latest buzz in the tinsel town claims that Jayam Raja is finally ready to make his Bollywood debut. He is going to remake his own movie "Thani Oruvan" in Hindi for which Salman Khan has shown interest.
It is reported that Salman Khan's trusted team members saw "Thani Oruvan" recently and were impressed by the content. They believe that the subject is tailor-made for the actor. Hence, the chances of Sallu starring in the remake are very high.
The Hindi rights are yet to be sold and Salman Khan's production house will reportedly sign the deal soon. In the meantime, Jayam Raja has also conveyed his interest to make his debut with his own remake of "Thani Oruvan".
The talks are yet to start and the scripting works will begin once the deal happens. If Salman Khan agrees to star in this film, it will be the latest edition to the list of his remake films originally made in South Indian regional languages.
Some of the remakes include "Wanted" (remake of Telugu film "Pokiri" starring Mahesh Babu), "Bodyguard" (remake of Malayalam film starring Dileep of the same name), "Ready" (remake of the Telugu film starring Ram of the same name) and "Kick" (remake of the Telugu movie starring Ravi Teja of the same name).
Meanwhile, the Telugu rights of "Thani Oruvan" have been sold and pre-production works have already kick-started. DVV Danaiah has acquired the rights and Ram Charan Teja is going to star in it.
"Thani Oruvan" is one of the biggest hits in Kollywood in 2015. The suspense-thriller stars Jayam Ravi, Arvind Swamy and Nayantara in lead roles.
