Salman Khan has apparently paid no attention to Arijit Singh's apology as Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has reportedly replaced the singer for a particular song in "Sultan."
Arijit has been in news since posting a public apology to Salman, requesting him to retain his song in the movie "Sultan." However, a Bollywoodlife report said the makers of the film have approached Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the song, titled "Jag Ghumiya," which was initially rendered by the young singer.
The report also said Salman and his team have decided to rope in Rahat as they feel the song "Jag Ghumiya" is an emotional track and the veteran singer's voice would suit it better. Nevertheless, another report in Bollywood Hungama said Salman has accepted Arijit's apology and his song has been retained in the film. There is no official confirmation on any of the reports as of now.
The entire episode had apparently started after Arijit posted an apology to Salman on Facebook and urged him not to drop his song from "Sultan." While the apology came as a shocker for the singer's fans, Arijit later revealed his "sorry" was in connection to an old incident when he had unintentionally made a comment publicly that had apparently irked the "Sultan" actor.
The incident had happened at Star Guild Awards 2014 when Arijit had received an award from Salman for the song "Tum Hi Ho." The singer had fallen asleep during the award show and was late to react when his name was announced. However, when he went on the stage to receive the honour, Salman jokingly said "So gaye the!" and the singer replied "Aap logone sula diya yaar." However, Salman on a funny note had turned the arrow towards Arijit suggesting his slow songs would make anyone fall asleep.
