Salman Khan had a great time with Sunil Grover aka Dr Mashoor Gulati on Super Night With Tubelight; here's the proof [PHOTOS]

Salman Khan is currently on a promotional spree. The superstar recently shot for a two-hour special programme with Sunil Grover aka Dr Mashoor Gulati to promote his upcoming film, Tubelight. The episode also featured Ali Asgar (Naani) and Sugandha Mishra (Teacher), and is slated to be aired on June 18 on Sony TV channel.

Besides the former Kapil Sharma Show cast, Dr Sanket Bhosale, who is known for his Salman Khan impersonation, was also part of the special programme. Salman had a lot of fun shooting with Sunil and the team. "It was a special episode for 'Tubelight' and we had a lot of fun shooting for it. Although I can't reveal much, I can say that Salman bhai was really amazed and surprised by our gags. He was rolling with laughter and he complimented us by saying that our comedy was not offensive," Sanket told Mid-Day.

It has been reported earlier that the programme will also serve as a litmus test to ascertain if Sunil can pull off a show on his own. With the constant drop in The Kapil Sharma Show's ratings, Sony TV channel has decided to experiment with a special episode with Sunil. "The special episode is an experiment to see if Sunil can hold the audience's interest on his own without Kapil's help. They want to be sure of the fact that the dipping TRPs are indeed due to Sunil Grover's absence. Once that's confirmed, they hope to sign him as the main act of a new show. Ali, too, will be roped in," a source told the daily.

Going by Sanket's comment and the happy pictures from the sets, it seems Salman indeed had a great time. We hope Sony TV ropes in Sunil for a full-fledged show soon. 

The one-time show will have a dance performance by Mouni Roy, kids of Super Dancer and Sabse Bada Kalakar. To be hosted by Dangal actor Aparashakti Khurana, the special programme will revolve around Mashoor Gulati's Clinic.
