Much to the relief of the entire cast and crew of "Kick", Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been granted a UK visa and he will soon head to London to commence his part of the film's shooting.
"The happy days are back again. Salman bhai has got the visa to travel to London and will be leaving in a week's time. In the meanwhile, he will be completing his other commitments in the city," a source close to the actor said.
Sajid Nadiadwala, who is foraying into direction through "Kick", had left for the UK along with his team and had commenced the shooting. Salman was to join the crew later but as he was denied visa, he could not commence the shoot on the predetermined date. This forced Sajid to film a few sequences using a body double.
"The body double has been filming scenes that Salman can't shoot for due to his health issues. This saves a lot of time, money and energy of the crew and the production house. When Salman comes they can begin his portions right away," a unit source was quoted by Mid Day as saying.
Sajid has also managed to shoot few sequences with actor Randeep Hooda along with other cast members of "Kick".
It is rumoured that the "Dabangg" star was denied visa due to court proceedings against him in connection with the 2002 hit-and-run case.
"Kick" starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez is slated to hit screens in 2014. The film is the Hindi remake of superhit Telugu flick with the same title starring Ravi Teja and Ileana D'Cruz.
After wrapping up the shooting of "Kick", Salman will shoot for Atul Agnihotri's upcoming film "Oh Teri", in which he will make a cameo appearance.
"Salman is very organised and planned. Now he will start shooting for 'Kick' and once he is back, he will shoot for my film," Atul told IANS.
