After Arijit Singh, now Salman Khan has reportedly dumped Mika Singh for a song of his upcoming film "Sultan." The recent buzz is that the superstar didn't like Mika's version of the song, thus he asked Badshah to come on board for the same.
It looks like Mika's luck is not with him nowadays. After Colors showed him the exit door from "Comedy Nights Live," Salman did the same with the singer and roped in his rival Badshah, Deccan Chronicle reported. It is said that Mika was the original singer of the track featured in the trailer, but Salman didn't like it.
"Mika and Salman have known each other for years now. It's not the first time that this has happened with Mika. Even during 'Kick,' Mika had sung 'Jumme Ki Raat Hai' and Salman had later re-recorded the song in his own voice. However, this time Salman has re-recorded the song with Mika's rival Badshah," a source told the leading daily.
Unlike Arijit, who posted a long apology letter to Salman on Facebook, Mika has remained mum on this issue. Salman has not only replaced Mika but it has also been reported that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will lend his voice for the song, which was sung by Arijit originally.
Meanwhile, fans are curious to watch "Sultan" after seeing the trailer. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial features Salman and Anushka Sharma as wrestlers Sultan Ali Khan and Aarfa. The duo will be seen romancing as well as wrestling with each other in the flick.
Scheduled to be released on Eid, the sports drama has been filmed in Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi and Mumbai. Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" was supposed to hit the screens along with "Sultan," but the makers of the SRK-starrer chose to avoid the clash at box office. Thus, the release date of "Raees" has been shifted to next year.
