Kapil Sharma's team members from "Comedy Nights With Kapil", Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar have waded into fresh trouble. Sunil aka Ghutthi and Ali aka Dadi on the show were supposed to perform at "Da-Bang The Salman Khan Live in Concert" in their "Comedy Nights With Kapil" avatars, but Colors TV has sent a legal notice to the two actors saying they cannot play the characters anywhere, reports Spotboye.
The concert's producer, Brijesh Gadiali, had reportedly announced the two comedians would be present in the event as Gutthi and Dadi. However, Colors TV, which originally hosted "Comedy Nights With Kapil", has reportedly sent a legal notice to Sunil and Ali saying they cannot perform in their "CNWK" avatars in any event irrespective of whether they are aired.
The report also quoted a source as saying: "Dadi can't perform even as a normal lady with grey hair and a jooda. Gutthi can't even don ribbons. This is the kind of diktat that the legal notice spells out. The duo has been clearly told even a reflection of their CNWK avatars would tantamount to copyright infringement. It's both sad and funny."
Kapil Sharma had a falling-out with Colors TV after he felt that two shows on the channel — his own "Comedy Nights With Kapil" and "Comedy Nights Bachao" — had similar content. Kapil and his team eventually decided to wrap up their show, which was subsequently replaced by Krushna Abhishek's "Comedy Nights Live". Latest buzz suggests Kapil and his team, including Sunil and Ali, will soon be seen in a new show on Sony TV, which is apparently a rival channel of Colors TV.
"Da-Bang The Salman Khan Live in Concert" will be held in Surat on Feb. 19. Stars like Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Chitrangada Singh, Elli Avram, Lauren Gottlieb, Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar will perform at the event.
