Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were on good terms after they split, which is why it is not surprising to see them come together for a commercial. The stars have collaborated for the Dubai-based fashion brand, Splash.
In a regular setting, exes keep their on-set interactions strictly professional. However, in this case, the two bonded over varied subjects.
A source informed BollywoodLife that Salman and Katrina appeared happy to be sharing screen space for the ad. Apparently, it was the celebs' manager, Reshma Shetty, who was responsible for arranging the collaboration.
"Both Salman and Katrina were given a choice to do separate individual ads, but they didn't have any problems working together. It was also very nice of Salman, who took keen interest in Katrina's part and even made suggestions and shared inputs," the insider elaborated.
Apparently, they had a good time working together and were seen discussing "Kala Chashma" while filming for the TVC.
Meanwhile, the first look of the Splash commercial is out and is being circulated across social media platforms. While Katrina strikes the onlooker with her charming appearance in a strappy dress, Salman is looking dapper in a well-tailored black suit. The campaign will go live on Sept. 1 on all platforms.
What's happening on the work front:
Salman will begin Kabir Khan's "Tubelight" in a day or so; he is already in Ladakh. Based on the Sino-Indian war of 1962, the film features actor in the role of a man-child who is slow in learning and picking up hints. Sohail Khan has been signed up to play Salman's onscreen brother. The female lead is yet to be decided upon.
Katrina has "Baar Baar Dekho" with Sidharth Malhotra lined up next. The romantic-drama has been directed by Nitya Mehra and is scheduled to arrive in theatres on Sept. 9. Her film, "Jagga Jasoos," with ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor has finally gotten a release date — April 17, 2017.
