Salman Khan has reportedly blocked Eid 2016 for Yash Raj Film's "Sultan".
"The film produced by Yash Raj Films will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and will fit in the typical masala entertainer space that Salman has been famous for!" stated a DNA report.
The report also added that the "Kick" star has also blocked Diwali 2016 for "Shuddhi".
"Not just that, Salman has also blocked Diwali 2016 for the release of his film with Karan Johar- Shuddhi."
Though the release date has been fixed and the male lead has been pulled onboard, the makers of "Sultan" are having a bit of an issue finalising the lead actress for "Sultan".
Deepika Padukone has turned down the film opposite Salman, according to reports. This is not the first time that the dimpled damsel has rejected a role opposite the "Dabangg" Khan.
Padukone was reportedly offered an item song in "Kick" and also a role in Karan Malhotra's "Shuddhi" but the actress refused to work in both films. Is it because of her packed schedule or does she now belong to archrival Shah Rukh Khan's camp and so working with another Khan is not acceptable?
Well, the "Happy New Year" actress does not seem to feel that way and expressed her interest in working with Salman.
"We've been offered many films in the past. The first movie that was proposed to me was alongside Salman. At that point, I wasn't ready. I wasn't even an actor then. Unfortunately, every film that we have tried to associate in after that, hasn't worked out for different reasons. Salman and I aren't going anywhere. I am sure there will be more opportunities," Hindustan Times quoted the actress.
So what's stopping her? Only time will tell.
Padukone will be seen next in Imitiaz Ali's "Tamaasha", opposite ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, Shoojit Sircar's "Piku" with Amitabh Bachchan and then Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani", alongside alleged boyfriend Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.
