Colors' "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat," which has Siddharth Nigam in the lead role, is one of the most popular shows with a huge fan-following. Interestingly, not just commoners, even one of the Bollywood superstars is a fan of the historical drama.
According to a Telly Chakkar report, Salman Khan is an avid watcher of the show. The report stated that Salman recently made an appearance in an award ceremony, which was attended by several television celebrities including Suzanne Bernert, who plays the role of Helena on "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat."
Like many others, Suzanne went to introduce herself to Salman but was stunned when the "Dabangg" actor recognised her and mentioned that he follows the show.
"I have always wanted to meet him throughout my career and finally when I met him yesterday his words surely touched me. Definitely, it is a big achievement for me that Salman Khan knows about my show and my character," Suzanne told the web-portal. "Well I am also feeling a bit proud about the fact," she added.
Last year, Salman was introduced to the show's lead actor Siddharth during the shooting of his film "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" in Karjat. Being a fitness enthusiast, the "Sultan" actor turned mentor to the 15-year-old actor, a national-level gold medalist gymnast. Both Salman and Siddharth worked out in the gym, which the superstar had built for himself in the studio complex.
In other news, "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat" will take a 12-year leap in April and Mohit Raina of "Devon Ke Dev..Mahadev" fame has been roped in to play the role of grown-up Ashoka on the show. Mohit will start shooting for the show March 20. With this, Siddharth, who plays the young Ashoka, will bid adieu to the show.
