Salman Khan is back this Eid with his upcoming film "Sultan", but the release date hasn't been confirmed yet. However, if reports are to be believed then Salman's film will break the stereotype of releasing a film on Friday.
In a new move, Salman's film will release Sunday, DNA reports. Yash Raj Films' is apparently planning to release "Sultan" on July 3, which is a Sunday, but the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the same.
Salman's "Sultan" is one of the most awaited films of 2016 and if reports of the film releasing on Sunday turn out to be true then it will break all previous opening day box office records. The box office collection generally goes up Sunday due to holiday and if that turns out to be an opening day for Salman's film then it definitely become the biggest opener of all time.
Meanwhile, the makers of "Sultan" are making sure that the film stays in the limelight. The first look and photos of Salman and Anushka Sharma, the leading lady of the film, in regular intervals have generated curiosity among fans. Now, the fans want the official poster and teaser trailer of "Sultan".
While there is no confirmation, reports suggest that the trailer of the film will be attached to Shah Rukh Khan's "Fan", which will be released on April 15. Both "Sultan" and "Fan" are produced under YRF's banner, so it is likely that the trailer of Salman's film will see a theatrical release with Shah Rukh's film.
"Sultan's teaser trailer will be attached to the prints of Shah Rukh Khan's Fan. Given that both are YRF-backed films, it was a no-brainer," DNA quoted a source as saying.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, "Sultan" features Salman and Sharma as wrestlers, Amit Sadh as younger Salman and Randeep Hooda as his coach.
