Salman Khan is in talks with Ajay Devgn for "Sons of Sardaar 2," a story based on the battle of Saragarhi. The latest development is, Sanjay Dutt and Suneil Shetty may be a part of it.
According to DNA's source, the sequel to action-comedy "Son of Sardaar" will be made on a grand scale, something along the lines of "The Expendables." The insider elaborated that Ajay is making sure that the script does justice to the five-hero project.
"While he is in talks with Salman and Sanjay, two more heroes will also be finalised. Ajay is making sure that all the five major characters are given equal footage in the script and screenplay. Salman is very excited about the script and also keen to co-produce it with Ajay, who will direct and produce the film. All the actors will sport beards and a turban as they are from the Sikh regiment," the daily quoted the source as saying.
The premise requires skillfully choreographed action sequences, which is why Ajay will get in touch with Hollywood's best in the business.
"Sons of Sardaar 2" was announced almost a year ago, but there has been no official update on it since. Either Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif were being considered for the female lead, but that to has not been talked about for quite some time as well.
"Sorry yaar, duniya bekar bina Son of Sardaar! Get ready for the sequel releasing Diwali 2017, [sic]" Ajay had posted.
In other news, Ajay has wrapped up "Shivaay," his second directorial venture after "U Me Aur Hum," and the first-look posters and teaser are looking promising. The action-drama opens in theatres on Oct. 28, clashing with Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil."
