Salman and Aamir Khan's first and last movie together till date was "Andaz Apna Apna," which is considered to be one of the best comedy films of Bollywood. Now, Vikas Bahl is reportedly ready to make a sequel of the 1994 movie.
It has been reported that the director is in talks with Preeti Sinha, daughter of Vinay Kumar Sinha — producer of the original flick, with regard to making a sequel of the movie that also featured Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal along with Salman and Aamir. The report also said that Vinay has confirmed discussions being made regarding the sequel.
However, reports say that the sequel of "Andaz Apna Apna" will be totally different from the original and only the title of the film will be retained. Moreover, Salman and Aamir will not be a part of the film. "It won't be the same story because no one can play Prem and Amar like Salman and Aamir. So, only the title is being retained in the sequel," the SpotboyE quoted a source as saying. Vikas' last directorial venture was Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer "Shaandaar," which failed to impress the critics and the audience.
Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, "Andaz Apna Apna" was an average grosser but the movie later earned the name of being a classic comedy film. Meanwhile, Salman and Aamir will be seen in two upcoming movies, "Sultan" and "Dangal respectively," both based on wrestling.
While Salman will play the role of a wrestler from Haryana in "Sultan," which also features Anushka Sharma, Aamir will portray the character of real-life wrestler Mahavir Phogat in "Dangal." Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the Salman starrer will be released on Eid this year and "Dangal" will hit the screens around Christmas.
