A few Bollywood filmmakers have reportedly expressed interest over remaking "Kaththi" in Hindi and preferred either Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan to play the lead role. Now, Neil Nitin Mukesh, who has played the antagonist in the AR Murugadoss film, is of the view that Salman Khan or Aamir Khan will be apt for the lead role played by Vijay.
In an interview, Mukesh said the storyline of "Kaththi" can be remade in any language as hunger for power and corruption is found everywhere. Hence, the story can strike a chord with all types of audiences. Talking about the Bollywood remake, he said that Salman Khan or Aamir Khan may perfectly fit the twin roles of Kathiresan and Jeevanandham.
According to Mukesh, Salman or Aamir are perfect as they have got the mass appeal and can make a good impact on the audience. It may be recalled that Aamir had earlier remade AR Murugadoss directorial "Ghajini" in Hindi.
When it comes to the female lead role, the Bollywood actor chose Deepika Padukone, who is basking in the success of her latest film, "Happy New Year", for the female lead.
Nonetheless, Mukesh wants to play the negative role in the Hindi version too. The actor's role of a corporate businessman has impressed the Tamil audience. His stylish looks and his efforts to dub his own voice in Tamil have been appreciated by the viewers.
Recently, there were reports that a few producers have shown interest to remake the Tamil movie in Hindi. And many of them wanted Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan for the lead role.
Meanwhile, the Telugu remake have been temporarily stalled after Pawan Kalyan refused to star in the remake.
