Continuing the trend of glamorous weddings this season, Saina Nehwal became the latest superstar to tie the knot as she got married to fellow Badminton player, Parupalli Kashyap on December 14.
Soon after getting married, Saina took to Twitter and called her wedding with Kashyap the "best match" of her life. The duo got married in a small ceremony at Hyderabad. Saina wore a violet and beige lehenga on her wedding day which was designed by Hyderabad-based designer Vaishali Agarwal. Kashyap, on the other hand, wore a pink bandhgala and kurta.

But their reception hosted on Sunday was a grand affair where famous personalities from the fields of sports, entertainment, politics, and business were present. Among the celebrities who attended the event were Bollywood actor Rakul Preet and South Indian superstar Nagarjuna.
Both bride and groom were dressed in a Sabyasachi ensemble for the event.
"Saina Nehwal @nehwalsaina in a rich indigo velvet lehenga, intricately embroidered with zardosi, appliqué, pearls and crystals, for her wedding reception. Her look is accessorised with a wedding set crafted with Burmese rubies, uncut diamonds and emeralds from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection.
"Her groom, Parupalli Kashyap (@parupallikashyap), wears a quilted indigo sherwani in hand-dyed Murshidabad silk that is accessorized with hand-crafted Bengal tiger buttons. The sherwani is layered with a beautiful tussar georgette shawl with antique 'tilla' borders in burnt gold. The look is completed with an uncut diamond and pearl necklace from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection," read a post on Sabyasachi's official Instagram profile.
Saina and Kashyap's reception cake was as resplendent in grandeur as the couple themselves.
The couple also hosted a cocktail party and Kashyap posted a photo with Saina on his Instagram from the event saying "Doubles for life now !"
The Hyderabad-based duo had reportedly been in a relationship for the past decade but managed to keep it under wraps by hanging out in a group that usually comprised Kidambi Srikanth, HS Prannoy and Gurusai Dutt.
