After five years of a steady relationship Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are all set to tie the knot on Tuesday in a private affair.
The Nawab of Pataudi and the daughter of Bollywood's first family will have a registered marriage attended by close family members and friends at Saif's residence in Bandra, Mumbai,
"The marriage registration will take place between 11.30 am and 12pm at Fortune Heights in Bandra," marriage registrar Surekha Ramesh told Press Trust of India.
"The notice had been submitted on September 12 and that they had requested that the registry be held at their residence. For the formalities, we will charge Rs 1, 000," she added.
According to reports, the marriage will be followed by a reception at Mumbai's Taj Mahal Hotel in the evening. Another grand reception will is scheduled to take place on Oct 18 in New Delhi for friends and family.
For the big day, Kareena will be wearing Sharmila Tagore's wedding dress consisting of a traditional kurta, dupatta and farshi paijama. While the dupatta of the traditional outfit will be an original, the kurta and farshi paijama are recreated by designer Ritu Kumar.
The wedding celebrations kicked off on Sunday with a star studded sangeet ceremony which was attended by several A-listers of Bollywood.
The bride-to-be looked gorgeous in an orange-yellow lehenga and a gold choli designed by Manish Malhotra, while the groom-to-be looked dapper in a white colour sleeve-less Nehru jacket worn over a white kurta pajama.
Saif and Kareena are Bollywood's one of the most high-profile couples and have been dating for the past five years. Together they have appeared in several movies like "Tashan", "Kurbaan" and "Agent Vinod".
Saif was earlier married to actress Amrita Singh and has two children with her - son Ibrahim Ali Khan and daughter Sara Ali Khan. Saif and Amruta got divorced in 2004.
