With just one movie, actress Sai Pallavi, has become the most favourite actress of many South Indians and she has won the IBNLive Best Southern Debut 2015 award for her performance in the super hit Malayalam movie "Premam."
Sai has won the poll with a huge majority of 64.61% against the other nominees, Anup Bhandari (20.18%), Dhanush (7.75%), M Manikandan (2.77%), GV Prakash Kumar (1.85%), Nabha Natesh (1.56%), G Prajith (0.36%), Selva Rajesh (0.14%) and Ashwin Saravanan (0.78%).
Sai, 23, made her acting debut in the Alphonse Puthren directorial "Premam" opposite Nivin Pauly and her character Malar miss became a household name with fans going crazy after the actress. The blockbuster movie was also well accepted in Tamil Nadu, where the movie completed 250 days of its theatrical run.
The actress, who also won the Popular Actress awards during some of the recent award shows, will be next seen opposite Dulquer Salmaan in Sameer Thahir's "Kali," and her appearance in the flick will be totally different from that of "Premam." The makers had recently released the first-look posters of the actress and the movie, which is expected to hit the screens March 26, is one of the most awaited projects of the year. Scripted by Rajesh Gopinath, "Kali" also has Sunny Wayne, Chemban Vinod, Vinayakan and Soubin Shahir in significant roles.
Recently, some unconfirmed reports also suggested that Sai has bagged the lead role in veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam's upcoming movie opposite Karthi.
