With just two movies, actress Sai Pallavi has become a household name for Malayalees, who have been enthralled with her performances in blockbusters "Premam" and "Kali." After starring with Nivin Pauly and Dulquer Salmaan, the actress is now set to make a mark in the Telugu entertainment industry with her debut Tollywood project opposite Varun Tej in Sekhar Kammula's directorial venture.
Sai shared the photos of her with the actor-director duo taken during the pre-production workshop of the upcoming romantic film, reportedly titled "America Abbai Telangana Ammai." "To a new beginning â¤ï¸ I'll need all ur love n prayers n blessings [sic]," the actress wrote while sharing the pictures.
The project's producer Dil Raju too shared the photos on his social media page with the caption: "The beginning of something special. Preproduction underway.‪ #‎ActorsWorkshop‬ ‪#‎VarunTej‬ ‪#‎SaiPallavi [sic]." The film is expected to narrate the story of an NRI who falls in love with a girl, who hails from Telangana and it is scheduled to go on floors on July 25. ‬
Meanwhile, Sai, who has completed her MBBS course in Georgia, is expected to commit to more projects this year after being well accepted by the South Indian audience for her natural performance in Alphonse Puthren's romantic family entertainer "Premam," which has created many records at the Kerala and Tamil Nadu box offices. It completed more than 250 days of theatrical run in Chennai and was re-released in a few theatres after continuous requests from the audience.
Among the three heroines of "Premam," it was Sai's character Malar miss that was well accepted by the audience, following which she garnered tremendous fan following in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The actress had also impressed her fans for playing as Anjali in Sameer Thahir's "Kali," which has become one of the highest grossing Malayalam movies of the year.
