Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo (Sahaasam Swaasaga Saagipo (SSS)) has got a good opening and showed decent growth at the US box office on its second day. It is the second biggest opener for Naga Chaitanya.
Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo is one of the most-hyped and highly awaited Telugu movies. The film marks the reunion of Ye Maaya Chesave combo Gautam Menon and Naga Chaitanya. Its promos also created good buzz for the film. Praneeth Media acquired its overseas theatrical rights for a whopping amount and released it in around 90 screens across North America on 11 November.
The Naga Chaitanya and Manjima Mohan-starrer was premiered in several screens across the country and it fared well everywhere on Thursday night. Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo received a decent response on Friday too. The movie collected $38,603 from premieres on Thursday $73,465 on Friday at the US box office.
The Gautam Menon-directed film was expected to show good growth on Saturday. The film had a jump, but it was not up to the mark. Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo collected $82,174 at the US box office on its second day, taking its total gross to $194,242. Idlebrain Jeevi tweeted: "SahasamSwasagaSagipo collects $82,174 on Saturday and total gross is $194,242 "
Naga Chaitanya's Premam was released in over 120 screens across North America on 7 October and it made super business in the country. The movie collected $401,187 at the US box office in two days and its day-wise breakup is $74,219 in Thursday preview, $134,819 on Friday and $191,816 on Saturday.
Premam is the biggest opener and highest grossing solo film for Naga Chaitanya. His latest outing Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo was expected to shatter this record, but its numbers show that the movie has failed to cross even half-way through the mark of the remake of the Malayalam film.
