Emma Stone was recently seen at the Screen Actors Guild Awards without her beau Andrew Garfield.
The actress, who was nominated for her role in "Birdman", attended the big event in Los Angeles solo. Dressed in a black blazer and a sheer skirt, the 26-year-old actress looked scintillating. She tied her hair in a neat bun and wore a bright red lipstick. She accessorised her look with a pair of black sandals and silver earrings.
Her solo appearance raised many eyebrows with many questioning the absence of "The Amazing Spider-Man" actor. However, Stone was in great spirits and was unfazed by the public scrutiny.
She and Garfield reportedly want to keep their relationship away from the public eye. The 31-year-old actor has also said in one his previous interviews that he is not comfortable discussing his personal life in media.
"I understand why people are interested in the personal lives of people who are in public more than those that aren't. I do understand that. I have a deep understanding of that. Just for me, it's not something that I... I don't want it in my life, so I do everything I can to deflect it and say no to it, because I think people forget that, "Oh, this is my life, and this is your life, and that's your life," E!online quoted him as saying.
Even Stone finds paparazzi attention "uncomfortable." She said that she does not like to be followed everywhere, especially when she is stepping out of her home. Despite being a celebrity, Stone likes to lead a normal life and does not pay any heed to shutterbugs when she is carrying on with her daily life.
"For me, I value privacy so much and I understand why I need to talk about the work, the films and all of that but it's incredibly hard to reveal stuff about my life, so it makes me feel pretty boring and very protective," she added, reported Mid-Day.
Stone has been dating Garfield since 2011. Both of them have worked together in the first two instalments of "The Amazing Spider-Man."
