Sadie Hartleys partner was sexting her killer just days before her murder
Sadie Hartley, 60, was stunned with a cattle prod and stabbed 40 times at her home in Helmshore, Lancashire, on 14 January 2016. On 17 August her murderers Sarah Williams, 35, and co-defendant Katrina Walsh, 56, received life sentences with minimum terms of 30 and 25 years for what was described as a brutal and senseless act. The court heard that Williams was obsessed with Hartleys partner Ian Johnson, 57, which was her motive for the killing. It was also revealed that sex texts had been exchanged between Williams and Johnson just 10 days prior to the murder.
