A new twist has added curiosity to Sadananda Gowda's son, Karthik Gowda's rape case.
Kannada director Rishi has come out with fresh allegations against actress Mythriya Gowda.
The director claims that he had married the actress in July 2004 and later she cheated on him. Rishi had also filed a case at Bangalore RT Nagar Police Station against the actress for cheating him.
"The director, Rishi, filed a complaint of cheating with RT Nagar police here saying he married the woman on 17 July 2004 and since they had no home, he lived with her in a lodge in Seshadripuram, Central Bangalore for four months. But the relationship ended after four months when she ran away with Rs 2 lakh in cash and never returned," reported The Times of India.
Apparently, Rishi and Mythriya fell in love and decided to get married while they were shooting a Kannada film "Surya The Great" (2003). The directed realised he was cheated by her when he met a Pune based director in 2006 who was also cheated in a similar way.
"I tried to meet her after learning about the marriage issue with Karthik Gowda. But she not only threatened me saying I should never speak to her, but also warned me of dire consequences if I made any more attempts to meet her," added the director.
Meanwhile, Mythriya's mother called his allegations false and Rishi a liar. She said her daughter was only 16 years old when the shooting of "Surya The Great" took place and asked him for a proof of marrying a minor as he had claimed. She also said Rishi is coming up with such statements only for money.
It has to be noted that Rishi had his share of controversies previously too. His name hit the headlines when controversial actress Nayana Krishna beat him with a footwear in November 2012. The actress claimed that the director had cheated her of ₹8 lakh.
Meanwhile, the controversy over Karthik hit the headlines when the actress alleged him of marrying her secretly. The actress had also filed a case against him in RT Nagar Station, and he was booked under IPC sections 376 and 420 for rape, cheating and dishonesty, respectively.
