It was definitely a heartbreaking moment for Kerala Blasters fans around the world. Why Kerala Blasters fans in particular? Any Indian football fan in that case. They tried their best. Taking the lead, equalising, testing their nerves and stamina. But in the end, it was a defeat nevertheless. So close yet so far, once again!
Celebrities react on Kerala Blasters' defeat
Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, for one, has been a witness to this during his time as a cricketer. Failures, persistence and the never back down spirit do help a lot, especially in sports. An occasion lost is always an opportunity to reach new levels the next time.
Tendulkar, the co-owner of Kerala Blasters, along with Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna, mentioned just this in his ISL 2016 final post-match message to his Yellow Army.
"What a great journey throughout the ISL 2016 season! Hard luck with the penalty shootout. The Yellow Army, thank you for the love & support! You guys have been the best fans ever :) [sic]," tweeted Tendulkar on Monday morning.
Part of a Monday motivation? Definitely, it is!
