Sachin: A Billion Dreams was one of the most awaited movie of the year, at least for India cricket and primarily Sachin Tendulkar fans. The movie, which depicts the life of the Little Master was released on Friday and has recieved positive response. Indian cricketers also loved the movie.
Before the Indian team took their England flight for the upcoming Champions Trophy, the players were invited to the movie premiere on Wednesday.
Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and others had a gala time during the movie screening, but Rohit Sharma could not attend it.
The India opener was busy with his cousin's wedding and he did not fly with Team India to England too but joined them later. He was given permission by the BCCI to reach England later than the rest of his teammates.
However, Rohit has always been a big fan of Sachin, who has been a role model for the present crop of Indian players in the team. The likes of Rohit were part of the team when Tendulkar was still representing India. So, there is some deep connection between Sachin and these Indian cricketers.
Rohit might have missed the big show, but he is looking forward to watch the movie.
May be, he should watch 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams' before the Champions Trophy so that he will get inspired to perform better at the ICC event which starts from June 1 in England.
Unfortunately I missed the premier but I'm sure I'm just 1 of more than a billion people who are excited to relive @sachin_rt 's life (1/2)
