India legend Sachin Tendulkar is set to enter a new innings in life as he will once again be celebrated, all over celluloid later this year. The 'Master Blaster' shared the poster of his movie titled 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams' where the main character will be played by none but himself.
The teaser of the movie is set to be out April 14 [Catch the teaser HERE], but we didn't have to wait long enough to get a glimpse of the poster.
"55 Days of training. One pair of trousers. The Sachin story," read the caption which shows the cricket legend walking out on the pitch, pads on, sporting his trademark cricket bat. A Mumbai-based production company '200NotOut' has masterminded the movie, which is directed by James Erskine, of Shooting for Socrates (2014) fame.
The music director of the movie remains the 'Mozart of Madras', AR Rahman.
Soon after Tendulkar shared the poster of the movie in twitter, Bollywood superstar and good friend Shah Rukh Khan posted: "This one I have to watch (sic)".
The film is believed to explore the Indian legend's extraordinary cricket career and will also contain several anecdotes from his personal life. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and the evergreen Virender Sehwag have also wished Tendulkar all the very best for the movie.
This is the third movie so far based on the life of a cricketer to release this year. While the Emraan Hashmi-starring 'Azhar', based on the life of Mohammad Azharuddin, is scheduled for a May 13 release, the Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' is expected to hit the screens this September.
