"Saath Nibhaana Saathiya" will soon see a major change in its storyline when Ahem (Mohammad Nazim) will die and a new man will enter Gopi Bahu's (Devoleena Bhattacharjee) life. It was reported that Khalid Siddiqui will enter the show as the new male lead and will eventually enter in Gopi Bahu's life.
While the viewers must be eagerly waiting to watch the new cast on the show, according to India Forums, Khalid will play the role of a doctor, who will eventually become Gopi Bahu's love interest. The actor will soon start shooting for the show.
"Yes, I am entering the show. I am playing the character of a Doctor and will be a nice guy. Eventually, he will be the love interest of Gopi. I am excited to be a part of such a big show and also with such a big production house," Khalid told India Forums.
Earlier, a source had told Tellychakkar that Khalid's character will make a grand entry on the show. "Khalid will be the new man in Gopi bahu's (Devoleena Bhattacharya) life. Post Ahem's exit, the makers will give adhamakedaar entry to this new character who will go on to be the new lead," the source had said.
The sudden decision taken by the makers to bring a new twist in the storyline and cast a new actor opposite the show's lead actress Devoleena came after the show's key actors had expressed their reservations about ageing on screen and the creative team had no option but to put the leap on hold.
