Former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth will be seen in a lead role in a big-budget multi-lingual film. Directed by Sana Yadireddy, the film will be made simultaneously in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu as well as dubbed into 14 other Indian languages including Hindi.
"The film will go on floors in September and we are planning to wrap it up in six months," PTI quoted director Yadireddy as saying.
"When we narrated the story, he (Sreesanth) liked it very much and gave his nod immediately. The film will be in the backdrop of cricket and has a very good love story in it," he added.
Meanwhile, Sreesanth, who is also an excellent dancer, said he was excited about his acting career.
"This is my debut film in South and I am going to work with a big filmmaker like Sana Yadireddy. I can't ask for more. I am looking forward for a good acting career in South," the former Indian pacer said.
However, Sreesanth said he is primarily a cricketer and that he wants to play in the next ODI World Cup. He added that he will wait for BCCI to lift ban on him as a Delhi trial court had dropped the charges against him last week.
Sreesanth will make his debut in Pooja Bhatt's "Cabaret" in a negative role.
