Legendary golfer Tiger Woods could well be the Team USA vice-captain for Ryder Cup 2016 and a prominent figure of the coveted golf tournament. But despite all the stardom, the 40-year-old golfer has to remember that even he needs to abide by some rules, else would be pushed into oblivion.
Something of that sort happened on Tuesday at Hazeltine, the venue of Ryder Cup 2016. Team USA skipper Davis Love and his 12 players had assembled for their official photoshoot with the trophy in the training.
There was a rule - the vice-captains shouldn't appear in the photo. Woods, ignorant of the directions, posed for the picture but was later told by the lensman to move aside. The moment drew some chuckles from the golfers present as well as the legend himself.
"I forgot I wasn't playing," Woods, who heartily laughed off the incident, was quoted as saying by Golf.com later.
Besides Woods, Bubba Watson, Jim Furyk, Tom Lehman and Steve Stricker are named the vice-captains for Team USA.
