The movie "Rustom" has had an overwhelming opening, not only at the Indian box office, but also worldwide. After making first day's business of Rs. 14.11 crore at the domestic market, and Rs. 8.30 crore in the overseas market, early estimates suggest that the Akshay Kumar-starrer has crossed Rs. 50 crore gross worldwide collection within just two days of its release.
Co-produced by Neeraj Pandey, "Rustom" had opened with a screen count of 2,317 in India and over 550 in the overseas market. However, the number of screens was reportedly increased both in India and overseas, considering the good word of mouth and craze around the film.
"Rustom" had made a nett collection of Rs. 14.11 crore at the Indian box office on its opening day. The Akshay-starrer witnessed 16.44 percent growth in its business on its second day, doing a nett business of Rs. 16.43 crore on Saturday at the domestic market. Thus, "Rustom" made a nett box office collection of Rs. 30.54 crore in two days.
Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, "Rustom" has been performing well at the overseas market as well, adding to the worldwide collection of the flick. It had earned Rs. 8.30 crore nett at the overseas market on its maiden day. Now current trends suggest that "Rustom" has made a collection of over Rs. 10 crore (approx) at the international market on Saturday, taking its total 2 days overseas box office business to over Rs. 18 crore.
With nett two days worldwide collection of "Rustom" being over Rs. 48 crore (approx), gross total global business of the film has apparently crossed Rs 60 crore (approx) on its second day. The crime-thriller has been having a wonderful run at the international markets of Australia, New Zealand and UAE. Produced by Neeraj Pandey, "Rustom" is currently reigning the box office.
