The makers of "Rustom" have unveiled the first look of the lead actor Akshay Kumar. Scheduled to be released on Aug. 12, Akshay plays the character of a Parsi naval officer Rustom Pavri in the flick, which is said to be a romantic thriller.
Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, the film is set in the 50s and once again, Akshay appears in a movie inspired from the incidents in the life of a navy officer. Earlier, he did "Airlift," which was also inspired from a true incident.
Akshay shared the first look of "Rustom" on his Twitter handle with a caption that read: "Decorated officer.Devoted family man.Defending his honour.His name? RUSTOM.Know his story on 12 Aug #RustomFirstLook." The actor looks dashing in the highly decorated naval officer's uniform.
Apart from Bollywood's "Khiladi," the romantic thriller also features Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta. Both the actresses will be seen on the big screen after a long time and have a chance to prove their talent in this film. Esha was last seen in flop flick "Humshakals" and Ileana appeared in "Happy Ending."
Meanwhile, the "Airlift" actor has his hands full with film projects. He will be seen in Rajinikanth's "Robot 2" in a negative role and in comedy flick "Housefull 3." The recent buzz is that he has also signed "Holiday 2" and "Namastey England." "Oh My God 2," "Awara Paagal Deewana 2," and "Welcome 3," are some of his other projects.
