A Russian passenger plane carrying 79 people which had reported a failed engine has safely made an emergency landing in Russia's St Petersburg city.

One of the engine's of the Boeing 737 plane has reportedly failed, according to an aviation source quoted by Reuters. 

Russian media also reported that the UTair flight UT369 made an emergency landing at the Pulkovo airport and that no passengers were hurt.
