Moscow, Oct 22 (ANI): Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has said that his country plans to build new nuclear units at India’s Kudankulam plant, as both the nations vowed during their annual summit to resolve the legal issues that had held up the deal for long. A joint statement, issued after Putin hosted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the Kremlin, contained no concrete energy breakthroughs, however. The statement had just stated that the countries agreed to speed up the finalising of deals on two new nuclear energy units. Addressing mediapersons, Putin said that the first unit at Kudankulam which had already attained criticality would be linked to India’s power grid shortly.
