Anushka Shetty's "Rudramadevi" (also spelled as Rudhramadevi) has continued its dream run at the overseas box office in the fourth week and collected $990,772 in the international markets in 24 days.
In its third week, "Rudramadevi" was being screened in 13 cinema halls across North America, but new release "Sher" forced the film out of three theatres in its fourth week. The Gunasekhar-directed period film has collected $5,724 from 10 screens at the USA box office in the fourth weekend.
"Rudramadevi" has collected $945,404 (Rs 6.20 crore) at the US box office in 24 days. After a huge response in its opening weekend, trade analysts had predicted that it would cross the mark of $1 million in the country and become the sixth Telugu movie to achieve this rare feat. But the film has failed to reach this mark and its current pace shows that it will not be able to surpass the milestone in the future too.
The Telugu version of "Rudramadevi" has collected US$14,572 (Rs 9.43 lakh) in Canada, A$2,617 in Australia, NZ$518 in New Zealand and MYR1,09,630 in Malaysian box office in 10 days. Its Tamil version was released in very limited number of cinema halls in the US and Canada and has grossed $984 and US$1,965 respectively in these countries.
"Rudramadevi" has collected approximately $990,772 at overseas box office in 24 days. The movie needs around $10,000 to surpass the mark of $1 million in the international markets. Trade analysts from the industry predict that the film is likely to cross this mark in the fifth week of its release.
The overseas distribution rights of "Rudramadevi" have been acquired by Blue Sky, which has reportedly shelled out around Rs 4 crore on the rights. The movie has reportedly returned them their investments with a decent profit share of Rs 1.5 crore.
