Director SS Rajamouli has all praises for Allu Arjun and Anushka Shetty, but he does not seem to be happy with characterization of Rana Daggubati and Prakash Raja's roles in "Rudramadevi".
SS Rajamouli has grabbed many eyeballs with his brilliant work in his recent venture "Baahubali: the Beginning". Millions of film goers across the globe are eagerly waiting for the sequel to the movie. The director has taken a break from his filmy activities before the production of the sequel to "Baahubali". He was recently on a month-long foreign trip to enjoy his holidays.
Soon after returning from the his foreign trip, Rajamouli expressed his appreciations for the trailer of "Rudramadevi" on his Twitter page. Later, he also revealed that he would watch the film twice. He said that he would watch it in 2D alone and its 3D version with his family. Many movie buffs were eagerly waiting to read the Baahubali helmer's review on the movie on its opening day.
SS Rajamouli took to his Twitter page on Saturday morning to share his verdict on "Rudramadevi". The director praised Allu Arjun for his performance as Gona Ganna Reddy and his support for making the movie tax free in Telangana. He also lauded Anushka Shetty, who he fondly addresses as Sweety.
The director tweeted, "Gona Gannareddy all the way. When the film was almost stalled, bunny's entry into the cast revived it. Heard that it was again Bunny who was Instrumental in gettin the tax exemption. And he excelled on screen. A hero on screen and also off it. Respect Gannareddy.err..Gona Gannareddy Sweets, with your screen presence, dedication, commitment, sincerity u are a boon to the film industry. No one else could be rudramadevi..period."
Rana Daggubati has played Chalukya Veerabhadra, which is a very crucial role in "Rudramadevi", but Gunasekhar has limited its screen presence and there is hardly any scope for his heroism. Many critics as well as audience have expressed their disappointment over wasting the talented actor. SS Rajamouli is also bit upset with his characterization.
Along with Rana's role, SS Rajamouli also seems to be not happy with the characterization of Shiva Devaiah played by Prakash Raj. The director tweeted, "Would Have loved more screen time for veerabhadra and rudramadevi. But Rana made his presence felt even with that."
The director added, "For any film maker who wants to make a period film he is indispensable. Again would have loved more political game from sivadevayya, but guess that is enough for Prakashraj garu to excel. Congratulations to Gunasekhar garu and his team for attempting making releasing and garnering a huge success.."
However, many were curious to know about Rajamouli's comment on the direction of Gunasekhar. Interestingly, he has not written single word about the director other than congratulating him. He has also got nothing to say about the technical team, which has surprised some in the industry.
