Ruby Rose-Phoebe Dahl end engagement as fashion designer was never sure about Orange is The New Black star?

It may not be shocking, but in an unexpected turn of events, the "Orange is The New Black" actress Ruby Rose and her designer fiancée Phoebe Dahl have ended their engagement. While everyone thought that everything was going fine between this picture perfect couple, it now comes out that maybe all was actually not well between the two.

The actress and the cousin of British supermodel Sophie Dahl were together for almost two years, before they got engaged in 2014, and now they have confirmed that they have no plans of taking this relationship forward as they closed doors to that "much-awaited" wedding, reported E!.

According to the report, the couple reasoned out work obligations and busy schedules as the main cause for the split. "It's completely amicable and they wish each other the best. We're told that distance put a strain on their relationship, the two having to spend so much time apart for work," a source said.

It has been widely reported that the 27-year-old fashion designer is busy working on fashion brand Faircloth & Supply, while the 29-year-old actress is currently working on "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter".

In a statement issued through her rep to US Weekly on 14 December, Dahl said: "After two wonderful years together, Ruby and I have decided to part ways. While we still love each other and support each other in every way, it is our mutual decision to part ways. Our break is not the result of any media speculation, and we want nothing but the best for each other. Thank you for respecting our privacy in this very difficult time."

The couple has ended on a sweet note as they tweet love messages to each other.

In fact, the couple originally was supposed to have tied the knot in 2015, but the wedding plans were pushed because both of them got busy with their professional lives.

But in between all this, we can't help but go back in time when Ruby Rose had openly admitted that Dahl had turned down her proposal three times before changing her mind. In March 2014, Ruby posted on her Instagram: "After asking her to be mine 3 times always to be rejected I swore I'd never ask again..."

Now fans, wonder if Dahl was not convinced and was never really sure of the OITNB star all along.
