Since 1990, about 61,000 Kashmiri Pandit families along with few Sikh and Muslim families have migrated from the valley, due to militancy issues in the Kashmir.
This has been revealed in an RTI reply from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Jammu and Kashmir Division), Government of India.
The RTI was filed by a Pune based entrepreneur Prafful Sarda seeking details on how many Kashmiri Pandits were affected by the militancy in Kashmir.
