Micromax will continue the flash sales for its ultra-affordable Canvas Xpress 2 smartphone in India exclusively through Flipkart. The handset will be available for purchase tomorrow, 15 September, only for registered buyers. Interested buyers must register themselves to participate in the upcoming sale before midnight or wait for the next weekly flash sale.
Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 is one of the worthiest budget smartphones in India. There has been a sharp spike in the competition in the entry-level smartphone category, but the India-based smartphone maker continues to appeal to customers with its affordable offering.
Touted as the cheapest smartphone with octa-core processor, Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB expandable storage. The handset boasts of a 5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and Native Damage Resistance for extra protection.
The Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED flash and 2MP front snapper. Although, the handset runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, it can be upgraded to Android 5.1 Lollipop later. There's a 2,500mAh battery to make good on a promise to run 9 hours talk time.
In addition to that, the Canvas Xpress 2 packs some unique features such as an integrated Cirrus Wolfson Stereo DAC, gesture support like pinch in, pinch out and double finger swipe to quickly access favourite apps.
Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 flash sale begins at 12 noon every Tuesday. Surprisingly, the handset's listing on Flipkart does not reveal time of sale. Micromax hasn't shared any details on any change in time of Canvas Xpress 2 sale on Facebook or Twitter. Hence, it is safe to assume that the Canvas Xpress 2 will be available as norm at noon.
