Prime Minister Narendra Modi's bold and unexpected move to withdraw all Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes struck a massive attack on black money laundering in India. Following this move, the Reserve Bank of India will issue new notes in Rs. 500 and Rs. 2,000 denominations.
People having the two highest denominations must exchange their notes before December 30 at post offices and banks, after which they will not be accepted anywhere. While people lined up outside ATMs shortly after the announcement was made on Tuesday evening, several Twitter users decided to take a troll at those hiding black money.
Here is a look at some of the best tweets we came across on Twitter:
Most are not worried about the ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. Because only a handful of Indians have black money. Rest just lack money.
