The release of Allari Naresh's Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam (IDNB), which was to be released in theatres on 11 November, has been postponed. Trade pundits call it the effect of the ban on Rs 500 Rs 1000 notes.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a ban on the currency notes with the denomination of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 on Tuesday night. Soon after his announcement, the people in Tollywood started calculating the effects on this week's two new releases -- Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam and Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo.
Some experts from the industry felt that the ban on currency notes might force the makers to postpone the release of Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam and Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo. Telugu critic and trade analyst Idlebrain Jeevi tweeted: "The currency ban of big notes is pushing Telugu producers of latest releases to reconsider release dates!"
PRO-turned-producer G Sriniwasa Kumar aka SKN tweeted: "Film theaters not accepting 500 & 1000 notes. Audience r not in film mood to spend whatever cash in hand. Affect on films for few weeks??"
The buzz in the social media claims that the makers of Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam have planned to delay its release due to currency Issues. Andhra Box Office tweeted: "#IntloDeyyamNakemBhayam #IDNB will not be making it to theatres this weekend due to the Unexpected Cash crunch situation all over India."
