The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will declare the NTPC exams 2016 results (Non Technical Popular Category) soon. RRB hasn't announced the exact date for the declaration of the NTPC preliminary exams 2016 but has confirmed that it will be out by October 14.
Anil Kumar Saxena, Additional Director General (PR), Railways Board, had revealed earlier that NTPC first stage results will be declared early next month -- first fortnight of October, to be precise.
It was earlier speculated that the results would be announced in September but it didn't happen.
Over 93 lakh candidates applied for the RRB NTPC exams 2016 but only around 56 lakh candidates appeared for the 1st stage exams held from March 3 to May 5, 2016 at 21 centres. A mere 4.8 percent or 2,73,780 aspirants will get through to the mains exams.
The RRB NTPC exams 2016 results will be declared on Indian Railways official website indianrailways.gov.in. It will also be published in 21 official RRB zone and regional websites.
The qualified candidates will have to appear for the mains exams to be held sometime in November or December, 2016. The RRB will announce the exact date of the exams in October. Those who clear the written exams will go through skill test, aptitude test and document verification. There will be typing skill test for Junior Accounts Assistant, Senior Clerk and Senior Time Keeper posts, and aptitude test for Assistant Station Master and Traffic Assistant posts.
Only 18,272 will be selected for various posts in the Indian Railways after the final stage of recruitment process. Successful candidates will recommended for various posts like Commercial Apprentice (CA), Traffic Apprentice (TA), Enquiry-cum-Reservation Clerk (ECRC), Goods Guard, Senior Clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist (JAA), Assistant Station Master (ASM), Traffic Assistant and Senior Time Keeper.
