Legendry Bullet maker Royal Enfield unveiled on Thursday its all new Thunderbird 500 with a price tag of ₹1.82 lakh.
Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500, which first appeared at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012, is the most expensive bike in the Royal Enfield range. The latest model is the second generation of the Thunderbird 500. However, the engine of the new Thunderbird 500 is the same one used in Classic 500 and 350 models. Thunderbird 500 packs a new headlight with a 55w projector lamp for its low beam, a 55W halogen bulb and a bulky fuel tank with twenty litre capacity.
The bike is powered by 499cc Twinspark air cooled engine which can generate power up to 27.6 PS at 5250rpm and 41.3 Nm at 4000rpm torque. It also has a stylish look with an LED tail lamp. and a Projection Type Headlamp of H7 bulb.
The second generation of Thunderbird 500 will be available in three colors - Midnight Black, Matt Metallic Black and Arctic Winter Black. The vehicle also has features like daytime running lights, split seat and a blackened engine.
Along with the newly-launched Thunderbird 500, the Chennai-based maker also introduced the revamped version of Thunderbird 350 for a price of ₹1.43 lakh and has introduced riding gear like jackets, helmets and saddle bags.
