Royal Enfield has been testing its upcoming adventure tourer Himalayan on the Indian roads for quite some time now and the motorcycle was caught on camera on several occasions.
While the biking enthusiasts have already got several hints at what the new Himalayan from the Chennai-based motorcycle maker will look like and what it will have in store to amuse the off-road riders, here comes yet another set of spy shots of the model, this time showing the model in its production-ready avatar.
The latest set of spy shots of Royal Enfield Himalayan shared by Team BHP confirms that name of the model, as the prototype flaunted the "Himalayan" name on it. That is not all. The adventure tourer is seen here in its white body paint and also is adorned in accessories like panniers in black and silvers colours on both the sides. Although the spy photographer could not get close enough to snap the front side of the model, the images paint a clear picture of the side and rear profiles of the Himalayan.
From the images, the Himalayan boasts round rear view mirrors, windshield, step seat, mono shock rear suspension and off-road tyres. In the front, the Himalayan seems to have got a round headlight. The model is also expected to get new instrument cluster with a compass and altitude meter with digital display.
At the heart, as we have known for some time, the Himalayan, one of the much-awaited models to come in early 2016, is expected to be powered by an all-new single-cylinder oil-cooled 410cc engine. The engine is expected to make around 30bhp and 35Nm.
As for pricing, Royal Enfield Himalayan, which is expected to be positioned below the Classic 500 and the Continental GT, is speculated to be pegged at in the range of Rs 1.65-1.85 lakh.
